Anyone know of any such groups? Ive already been in touch with the London Irish crowd. Woud like something informal and social to brush up on my irish language skills which I fear are dwindling massively; I speak it at home on occasion and throw in phrases now and then but would like to improve it.

Hey, there's a meet-up group called Ar an Drabhlas that meet up every couple of weeks. I toyed with the idea of going, but feared my Irish wouldn't be as good as the rest of them. I'm not a Gaeilgeoir or anything but used to speak it reasonably well. Their next meeting is Feb 6th :)

There is a new organisation called Mind Yourself, which is supporting irish people living in London. I know they were planning on setting up a range of groups for irish people here so might be worth emailing them to see what they have in the pipeline. Their website is www.mind-yourself.co.uk

Besides the London Irish centre there is also the Irish cultural centre in Hammersmith, they have Irish language classes, but iirc also a more social Irish speaking group meeting once a month or so.

I checked out this one a while ago, they have classes starting in Feb, but I really wasn't sure what level to class my irish at (so what course to do) considering I haven't spoke any decent amount in about 7 years!

Not sure if Camden would be too out of the way for you, but Camden Irish Center has these courses as well.
