    Hi all,

Heading to Mayhofen in March and wondering has anyone got experience of Ski Schools there? Got 2 first time skiers and a first time boarder in the group and they will probably need lessons for the first couple of days.

    Cheers!

Ski schule 3000. Lessons and rental for the week for 190 bucks. Its the standard group lessons.

You might get lucky and have a good instructor/group or not. Have any done board sports before?

Ye I think we'll go for these, their office is in the same building as our accommodation. Would you recommend Ahorn or Penken for the beginners for their first day?

Prob penken but its way busier...
There are some easy enough reds up penken
Do not attempt to ski down to the village from ahorn unless youre ok with 3km of skiing on 4mtrrs wide piste!

Id definetly ski the ahorn first as its a lot quiter than penken and has a nice wide open blue to start off as well as one nice red to progress on to.The red back to town would be a step too far for someone on there first week skiing its a bit narrow in sections and the very last section is like a black and can be pretty icy. Also id stay from the penken and head to zell am ziller ,Kaltenbach or up to the hintertux glacier.Penken gets too busy and slopes get all moguled out by dinner time

Probably not suitable for a cumbersome boarder so! Thanks for the advice. We might check out the glacier one day.

Remember doing it at dusk on my first ever day boarding. Fell 200 times. Minimum

Ripped it up in 13mins top to bottom 2 days later
