Paying Fees?

So I'm a postgrad and have quite a large fee for my course. I've paid half, but I've been turned down for both the grant and the student assistant fund and I can't pay the other half by the end of the month. I'd quite like to avoid that extra 200 for late payment too.

Is there any other way to extend the payment date? Like, I have 2/3 of the remaining fee but it'll take a few months for me to get that last bit

I don't know that they're very strict about late payment for postgrads. Don't quote me on that though :P

Surely that would be more for research/long term postgrads? Mines 1 year taught...

    Ah, possibly...

Might pop in to Fees tomorrow and see what I can do... I'm trying for a loan too but I'm not really convinced they'll give it to me. If anyone has any legitimate ways to make money do let me know! (Don't say get a job, have 2)

    Get a third job!!:D
Seriously though, if you go in and explain to the fees office they can allow you an extension onto the time limit. Just make sure to let them know seems to be the main thing!

    - as a postgrad student, i'm sure you could give grinds to students in a related undergraduate course?
    - you could maybe sell your second hand books?
    - i was stuck for money last semester so I started a music group of 25 kids. got them all to bring €2 each to practice every week. extra €50 for me a week and the local kids had something to do. you could try something similar with one of your hobbies?

It'll all be worth it when you get a job. Well that's what I'm hoping anyway :)

Thanks! I hadn't thought of the classes for kids.

I already have my name on the grinds register, and I'm slowly putting my books up too
