I received my p60 today and was hoping to claim tax back from 2012 as i was on unpaid maternity leave since September, however my p60 shows total pay approx 6000 more than i received so if i submit this i will not be entitled to a refund, any ideas as to why my gross pay would show higher than it should be? I presume the pension that my employer pays would not be included here? Thanks

If the gross pay is wrong your should revert to the Payroll department to see why, Revenue will only go off the details that your employer has provided them.

If the details are wrong an amended P35 will have to be filed by your employer before a new P60 is issued and the matter can be dealt with.
