To be fair, I kinda enjoyed the first RED, and it had a definite dark streak that made it stand out from the crowd a little. Looks like if nothing else that streak is intact. the "Geriaction" sub-genre continues at pace it seems

If they keep it short and sweet, with the same black humour the first one had, this could be a lot of fun. I'm hoping for 90 mins of good set pieces and clever dialogue, but I won't exactly hold my breath...

I hope Brian Cox in back for his

Saw this earlier today and wasn't exactly blown away by it. The cast were good and there were a number of fun set pieces but by christ did it feel long with the middle seriously dragging. Whereas the first film flew by part 2 drags and whereas the set pieces in part 1 were fun and inspired, here there's no sense of originality and the whole thing feels like the same set piece played out over and over again.
