    Hi There

I'm on the lookout of a GPS watch which has support capability for a pedal cadence device. HRM would also be good ..

My garmin forerunner 205 doesn't support either of these 2 functions so looking to upgrade to something that wont cost me too much

    cheers

Can't really help with wont cost me too much, but I've just replaced my old Polar S710 with the new RSX3, which uses the std polar HRM & cadence sensors. The GPS is a separate unit, which I like, it is very fast at picking up satellites (I know the Garmin 205 - you'd want it outside and switched on 1/2 hour before the ride); this means the watch is much neater, and lasts a year before the battery needs changing (user serviceable this time, Polar learns!).
It doesn't do Strava as far as I know, but the does map ride gps data onto Google maps. Cost was €160 inc. GPS, happy birthday to me!

160 would be within the price range i was hoping for ... I'll need to do some research on the polar. I was considering the garmin 310 xt because it has the GPS, HRM and supports bike cadence, but if the polar does all the same for probably 100 euros less then i'd be very tempted

plus it's my b'day coming up soon so i might start dropping hints ;)

Have a look at the Timex GPS Global Trainer too.

It's ANT+ compatible so works with Garmin sensors too and Suunto and anyone else who uses Ant+.

I've used mine on the bike with the Garmin Speed/cadence sensor and garmin hr monitor and then can use the same sensors with and ANT+ stick for trainer road on the PC.

You can pick them up for ~€150 at the moment http://www.ebay.ie/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=timex+global+trainer&_sacat=0&_from=R40
