    Hi there,

I would appreciate any advice you have on this.

I am desperately trying to find somewhere perhaps online or in Limerick where I can get Ivory/cream stretch lace.
Preferably around an inch in width would be suffice.

I am using it for making Invitations and my head is wrecked in relation to finding it.:(

    Thanks ,
    Helena

How much do you need, I may be able to help you - or would white be any use?

At the moment I only need about 2 metres but all going well will need 45-50 metres.
    What price would it be?
I would prefer a cream but could settle with white!

    Thank you :)

ah no, I wouldn't have that much. I have a bag full of different widths of strech lace, mostly one or two metres. I have had it for years and have never had any use for it. I don't want anything for it, but I have no idea how much there is, I'll go and root it out and check.

Hm, no not nearly as much of the stretch as I thought, unless there is another bag of it somewhere. Anyway there wouldn't be nearly enough.

Ah well don't worry about it.I think I might have sourced something. My friend is going to London soon and she might be able to get something for me.

    Thanks a million though! :)

I'm totally intrigued, how are you going to use stretch lace on invitations? And why so much?

Its a sort of double mount invitation.
There is brown card behind(slightly smaller) white card . It between them is lace that ''ties in a knot'' at the front . :)
It was a request from a client but ideally a cream lace would look better than white.
If all fails we I will use a brown bakers twine. :) I'll figure it out!

If you can get to LSAD in Georges Quay, the students there would probably know somewhere straight off.

Also Lana's wool shop in William St. has often ordered in stuff for one off projects.

I am student of LSAD actually.I live with a fashion student and the only place she can think of is Hickeys(very expensive).

I might try that place, thank you very much.

I cant help thinking that 1 inch lace 'tied in a knot' is going to look a bit strange/bulky, and why stretch lace particularly?

It looks nice as it has a kraft brown card border. The stretch lace is just cheaper really.
I have given her an option of brown baker twine to tie the invite and rsvp together and personally I think I prefer it. So hope she does too. :)

Thanks everyone for your help. I got sorted in the end. I am going with bakers twine for the invites. It is more cost friendly and too be honest it doesn't hinder the invite as much as the lace would.

    Thanks.
