Looking for massives/festivals during the spring

Moved to Dublin, Ireland from California and I've been researching rave/electronic massives, but everything I have been finding takes place after May. I am returning home like mid may, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out and point out some big electronic events before then? Ireland would be best, but from what I can tell the rave scene here is dismal, I've been to a few smaller ones, but they are rare. I'm willing to fly and travel to other places in Europe if the event would be worth it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for an annoying noob question, but my research has not been successful at all.. Everything i've been to has always been through word of mouth.

there are the odd underground parties and plenty of decent clubs, but big events with "big names" won't have much of an outing this year after the swedish house mafia fiasco last summer. Any out door illegal raves wont happen anyway till summer as the weather is ****e. check out some of the clubs instead, better vibe without mad off their tits kids

Not sure what you're after, but I came across this electronic festival in Ireland starting well before you head back home.

This is actually going to be a great event I reckon. Biosphere playing, lots of decent stuff and you've even got me :p

there's international DJs in clubs here every week.
april onwards is when the big outdoor events/festivals generally start as the weather improves.
there'll be a few warehouse events that will be kept quiet until the week they're on.

London is a 45min flight away and is one of the world capitals of electronic music. check RA for listings: http://www.residentadvisor.net/events.aspx?ai=13

Thanks mate, muchly appreciated. They've not updated their site to include me yet but I'm confirmed as of the other day. Stage name is miXile.

No worries - I've added you to the phaseone lineup and your profile is on the site too, http://festivals.ie/artist/show/1700/mixile

I'm working on an area where artists can add that they're available to play at festivals so once that's up and running I'll let you know.

Doesn't seem like there are a huge amount of electronic festivals in Ireland these days, but I'm out of the loop. I was reared on Creamfields and Homelands at the turn of the century which were huge at the time, but have quietly died out.

Mates are still involved in the scene - friends of friends run MONGO which does quite well but nowhere near the same scale. Maybe that's a good thing, to let smaller artists come through......

wow deadly. did you take the profile from myspace? It looks about 5 years old. Can I pass on an updated profile and discography and stuff? Muchly appreciated.

Unfortunately you're right in that it's not our content, it's from LastFM, so we import images and biographies for artists that are playing at festivals listed on the site.

I think I can edit though, so if you wanted to PM me the biography you want, then please do and I'll add.

    Cheers.
