    Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked before but i couldn't find anything with the search function.

Can anyone recommend a good bodyweight training book. One that has various programs/progressions for push-ups, pullups etc.

Convict conditioning is exactly what you are looking for.

Contains 10 step progressions for each of push-ups, pullups, squats, handstand push ups, bridges, and leg raises.

Cheers Ferike, unfortunately I'm working Saturday morning. I had a quick look at your log, that's what i want to be able to progress to. Did you start out with a bodyweight book or with other people who do calisthenics?

Overcoming Gravity by Steven Low is also excellent. Lots of bodyweight/gymnastic type exercises with lots of progressions. It helps you construct your own programme aswell if you're looking to do that and the author is very open to critiquing and reviewing said programme on his forum.

Mark's Daily Apple is a website mostly geared toward primal or paleolithic living but he does have a free e-book with bodyweight exercises and links to videos where he shows how to do said exercises.

I got tired just reading about em and had to sit down with a big bowl of carbohydrates to recover
