Just got an ssd for my pc and I've installed it and installed windows 7 on to it.I disconnected the hdd from my pc before installing the ssd but when I reconnect the hdd my pc won't boot.Everything works fine with the ssd on its own.I decided to format the hdd using the command prompt from windows repair but that hasn't helped.Any suggestions?

Check the boot order in the BIOS. More than likely if you haven't changed anything (including the sata ports the HDD was on), when you plug it in, it's trying to use that as the boot drive.

I've changed the boot order but it didn't change anything,I'll try a re-install and see if that changes anything.

I seem to have rectified the problem. The ssd wasn't set as active.Should really have been the first thing I checked after the boot order.:o
