Can anyone remember this 2 part horror shown in the eighties. The most frighening thing I had ever seen. My father worked away from home at the time and I'm not ashamed to say that I had to sleep in my mother's bed, aged 12, because I was so fightened

I remember it well. David Soul and James Mason. Some genuinely scary scenes. Have watched it more than 10 times now so has lost its grip on me but I am aware of many adults who to this day still won't watch. It's that good.
