    Hi,

Was looking for any advice, wanna add a chin up bar to my shed. Its a brick wall shed. I weigh just under 100kg, so need something that i'd be happy with it not coming off the wall! is there anything out there that will work ok? For a DIY unsavy person, would I need help putting it up or is it easy enough/ do I need extra parts etc...

    Thanks

Have a look in argos. I got one from there a few years back. The father was well able to swing off it like a monkey and he was your weight or there abouts.

Meant to ask, did you get everything you need to put it up bar the drill :) ? Could a DIY idiot put it up handy enough?

They're not that complicated at all so you'll manage it quite easily.

I just had to buy 6 bolts. I used a type of bolt that I had never heard of before, they screw directly into masonry (no raw plug), I think they are 10mm.
I positioned it so that all the fixings were in solid blocks and not cavities. Also the height was important, I wanted to have to jump a small bit to the bar.
Easy job in fairness if you've used a drill before

I wanted to have to jump a small bit to the bar.
I have a small box I step up on with just 1 foot, then either kick or shift it aside with that same foot. But mine is an indoor telescopic one so I do not want to exert much force on it.
