New Gaming Build.

Hello all. That time of year again where I'm craving a new rig but I have decided to go full whack on this. I want to be able to run all the modern day games, for example, BF3 and Skyrim, on full settings with good fps. BUT, I'm trying to do it on a reasonable budget. Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely this is doable within the 500 to 600 mark. I had heard that prices are coming down in hardware lately. So I'll answer some questions.

1. What is your budget? Not on a strict one, but want it as low as possible, without sacrificing on performance.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Preferably, yes. Although if it costs too much I'll scrap it.

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? I have a 500 gb hard drive that's reasonably new, but I was thinking a small SSD would be a good addition for running the OS.

5. Do you need a monitor? No.

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

8. How can you pay? Visa/Debit card.

9. When are you purchasing? ASAP

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Cavan, but I think I'm good for the building.

What resolution is the monitor that you will be using?

This rig should play Skyrim on mostly high settings and will play BF3 on high settings as well at 1080p and managed to squeeze in the small SSD for the OS and a game or two.

That looks great, cheers. I;m not using a monitor, but actually a TV. some 32 inch, not sure of the make off the top of my head now. But I assumed it would be fine.

PSU: It would be a mistake going with a cheap PSU and, that one is crap
HDD: For about 20 euro more you could get a 2T drive
Bundle: Would not recommend it for gaming.
IF you are buying a lot of components together at one time you'd be better buying from Hardwareversande. You'd save more money in the long run.

I did look at purchasing the build from them posted earlier but there payment options look awkward, and supporting irish businesses and all that jazz.

Can anyone reccomend a quality build from Dabs, just as a comparison to HWVS?

Dabs is an English company not Irish. They just own the .ie domain. Purchasing from Hardwareversande is not as hard as it seems. You can do the transfer if you have online banking or do what I did and go into your bank and have them do the transfer. It's easy, it took only five minutes.
