Maybe the lads in the bangernomics thread were right all along.

National Electric Vehicles Sweden, the company that owns the Saab brand, is planning to restart production of the Saab 9-3 later this year, with an electric version following in 2014. But the cars will be built in China rather at Saab’s Trollhattan factory, in a change to NEVS’s original plan.

A Saab 9-3 built in China? And I thought it couldn't possibly get any worse.

Who owns the rights to the 95 so? GM?

Spyker? Or are they gone from the equation? It's all very confusing. Various lawsuits etc.

Saab is too good a brand to no longer exist though. Having General Motors gone is a good start. From what I can gather the European and North American cars will still be made in Sweden, with FIAT/Chrysler drivetrains.

Obviously do not own one. I love mine but it does test me.
