I'm a mature student currently applying to do a a bachelor honours degree in DCU but am a little worried I won't make it through on the interview so i might have to rely on plan b.

Basically that is that i do a plc in september and then that will get me into university the following year. I'd qualify for back to education allowance (for either course) but if i end up doing the plc will i be able to get back onto btea when i start in university after that summer? The plc would finish in june so i know id be back on jobseekers for the summer but would the qualifying period of 9 months reset then and id be disqualified?

    Any advice?

Yes, you should be able to, my partner had to a PLC as he had been out of education for a few decades, he then went on to apply to college and got BTEA. He was on JSA from June to Sept.
