hi all need some advice as i'm thinking about buying a s 7seater and dont really want to buy ur standard Galaxy or similar. 3 kids 4-7+longsuffering ....+occasional granny.Currently driving 07 A4 estate good car but need more seats. Seen an 08 X5 @35K 7seats low milage or how about Q7/ volvo xc90/Eclass estate 7seater all costing 35-40k for 09/10 models. The other option would be a new hyundi Santa Fe or Kia Sorento or Mitsubishi Outlander all 7seaters costing 40k.ish.What do u guys think?

If you're looking at something in that price bracket buy a VW Caravelle and be done. A true 7 seater and then some.

Hi I have a Seat alhambra which has 7 seats in 3 rows. the reason I like it is they are proper seats and not that space between two seats with a seatbelt which you get in some so called 7 seaters. All the seats in the back can be taken out, which is handy if you need to transport something, and all are individually adjustable (forward, back and tilt). I have three children and my youngest has Autism and can get aggressive on long journeys, but if we seat him in the back, he has all the room he needs and stays much calmer.
    Just my two cents,

Take a look at the KIA Carnival, its a lot of car for your money and quite economical to run as well if you can afford the road tax.

I have an 08 Citroen C-Crosser (same shell as Outlander). Very handy for the occasions when we need the seven seats for Granny at the weekends. Rear seats are grand for young kids but a bit small for teenagers. Big boot with seats down. Only downside is the tax on a 2.2 & it's not too light on diesel.
