Watch a show on Nat Geo about a couple that get nasty while eating rotton fruit that they pulled from a bin and now I want to eat an orange. Is that okay?

Some of the stuff shown these days on so called 'documentary' channels is fcuking depressing... swamp people, ancient aliens & storage knackers.

The world deserves it all though.

It's not all bad though, we get to see people and places and points of view from around the world that our grandparents never had the oppurtunity to do. I'd never dismiss anything out of hand like that.

Wtf happened to national geographic and discovery channels with the likes of extreme engineering and other actually interesting documentaries? not fvcking doomsday preppers and redneck catfishing.

My housemate was watching something on Discovery the other night called "how do they do that?", and honestly it gave the genre Documentary a bad name. The subjects could have been interesting but it was so lame. Like "How are electric violins made?", if they had explained how pickups work etc. it could have been interesting, instead they just showed a guy cutting the violin out from a template, adding the pickups and painting it.

When ever I hear someone say "Oh, i dont watch regular TV, its all sh1te anyway. I only watch Discovery"(because Im an intellectual dont you know), I wonder what exactly are they watching.
