He is denying he was interviewed at all now, apparently.

Was he drug-tested before his performance?

Just shows how money mad he is. He's been stripped of everything so he's just selling his story now to Oprah.

    Let's see....

    He lied
    He cheated
    He broke the law
    and made millions doing it.

Sounds like a Real American Hero to me.

Everyone knew he doped, but its par for the course in the sport so most people don't care. What they do care about it is that he was a total bully to anyone who challenged him - and now he's crying to Oprah trying to clear his name

I doubt Oprah will have pressed him too much to be honest, Would of preferred if he was interviewed by Vincent Browne, now that would be worth watching...

Surely now that he admitted to taking the drugs he will be in countless legal battles which will cost him millions. And rightly so.

For cheating? Eh, I don't really think so to be honest!

Winfrey: 'He did not come clean in the manner I had expected'

I think its best to wait and see what he actually said before coming to conclusions.

Id give him more credit if he allowed both Walsh and Kimmage to interview him. Two people in a long line whom he tried to destroy. Anyway it sounds like its a start.

Takes a lot of guts to admit to doping, after you've been stripped of your titles and given a lifetime ban... for doping.

Another nail in the coffin of that sport. Can see even more sponsors distancing themselves from it, and Sky are reporting that it may be dropped from the Olympics.

Hopefully sponsors go after him, and bankrupt him, he has made $125m from cycling, and now he has helped destroy it.

IOC strips Lance Armstrong of 2000 Olympic bronze medal

What will they strip him of next?

I really dont know what to think about this whole thing ... On one hand, he was a professional athlete who cheated to win. Thats wrong.

On the other hand, Life aint fair. He's not the only athlete who took steroids to enhance his performance (all sports included) But also 'sportsmanship' is out the window. Take soccer for example they dive to get the advantage... or in rugby to injury a player to take him out of the game. So where is the line between sportsmanship and cheating?

Or does the line be judged at getting caught for cheating.

Armstrongs cheating goes way beyond just taking drugs to help him win. It was a schematic and vast exploitation of the sport over quite a few years, not comparable to diving in soccer. It'd be comparable to a player fixing games over a number of years IMO.

Cheating is one thing and it's wrong, but setting the bar so high for all other athletes that they have to use performance enhancing substances and procedures in order to compete is far worse IMO.

Interesting. All I heard was doping. How did he exploit it over the years?
... like holding back from winning races when he was money on?
