Does anybody know if its possible to do an internship with a state agency if you are not registered with fas/on social welfare. I am asking as I know of a possible internship may be available to me but as it is with a state agency are they required to take someone on the jobbridge scheme?

    Thanks for any help.

They probably are, or it would be seen as bad form, and inappropriate for them to go against their own initiative. That said I am currently in an unpaid internship and have no security whatsoever. I am out on my own with a) no financial support from my organisation and b) no one above me to moderate my learning or progress. I could be out on my ear at any stage.
the reason I didn't take on a fas internship is because I was woking up to the time I applied for the internship and you have to be unemployed for 3 months to be eligible for those.

So if you are unemployed, ask the organisation to set up with jobbridge, but they will have to advertise and interview for the role so you could face some stiff competition
