I recently got these Steve Madden Boots as a Christmas present.

They are just a little bit tight and was wondering if anybody has stretched boots using wet newspaper and if it actually works ?? I am more leaning towards this then the water bags and putting in the freezer as I heard this can damage the boots.

If anybody has any tips or tricks it would be greatly appreciated as returning them is not an option as they were bought so long ago !!

    Maybe this might work: http://www.coffeelightandsweet.com/2012/05/how-to-break-in-your-shoes-in-less-than.html

I know it's really for ballerina flats - but you never know. Also, rest assured that if the leather is soft/malleable - the more you wear them, the more 'give' they'll have.

    Btw, love the boots ;)

If you take them to a shoemaker they should be able to stretch them up to a half size bigger in length and width if necessary;)

I checked out the hairdryer thing but it might weaken the glue bonds ?!? I actually didn't even think of bringing them to a shoemaker !!!

They are the most amazing boots ever and I did try to wear them but they caused extreme amounts of pain!

Can anyone recommend a shoemaker in Dublin city centre area?

    Thanks

Shop in Talbot Street. Bryans Master Cobblers. It is near the Malborough Street end.
