the one where the black gym instructor is roaring at the white woman, her (white) boyfriend deflates him, and then cuts to a gym full of white people with a white instructor.

I found it had racist undertones, anyone else?

If you had to scrutinise an advert to find unintentionally racist undertones, then you're just looking to be offended for the sake of it.

In this case, racism is in the eye of the beholder.

Not a note on the ad, but you know what's just as annoying as people who see racism everywhere? The people that roll their eyes at them without thinking it through, instead saying something along the lines of "Just because it has a black person in it doesn't make it racist!"

Also warped doors, they're VERY annoying.

Maybe a black actor got a job in ad for a gym.

I don't get people sometimes... Should they only hire white actors in case someone reads too much into things, or only have black people portrayed in ways which nobody could ever possibly construe as racist?

Yes 100% you are not supposed to look at them or call them black.

Seems like we've tipped over to the other side of things regarding racism.
This does seem racist but people are so sick of being PC that they're just skipping over it now.

I'm going to take this opportunity to tell you all that taking a hand at a nations accent is not racist.

Also, ableist, scotomaphobic & whatever word means you hate people who live in rural areas (agorophobic is the closest I can come up with). Basically you're a fascist.

I saw a black guy eating in KFC, and then he left and a white guy came in as he was leaving.

    Racism everywhere.

I am often embarrassed by my weedy arms and pasty skin when large black gentlemen shout at me in the gym.

This sounds like just the gym for me.

I haven't seen it it but it's definitely racist.

It's only racist if you see it as racist, if you see the people in the ad as just people, then nothing's wrong, but if you see it as black people vs. white people then I think you are being a bit PC about the whole thing

I read an article about the N word as part of a review for Django Unchained (not going to type it in case it results in a ban. There are forums where is does). Lenny bruce said that everyone should just walk around saying it repeatedly until it had no meaning left. It's only by refusing to say it that we give the word power. The word is so incredibly racist because we made it that way.
