Saw the trailer for this before something recently. Looks awful, and a complete rip off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Just saw this is playing in my local cinema tonight. Has anybody seen it yet or got an opinion on it? Im a fan of Robert Sheehan so may go along just to see his performance.

We need another Buffy! The books are amazing, really beautifully written. Cassandra Clare is an exceptionally talented author. The lead charater is a heck of a better role model that Bella from Twilight anyways. I love the books, been waiting 4 years for this film, since it was rumoured to be a possibility! Casting is shocking imo, so will need to wait & see how they play the roles, but I was puking rainbows like a mega fangirl at the cinema watching the trailer on big screen for first time. It is just how I imagined as I read the books. I can't wait to see it.

    well just back from this.

    TOOOTALLLLL chick flick.

i cant really give it a fair review as the entire appreciation society seemed to be in the row across the way from me and wouldnt STFU the entire movie.

character comes on screen : "OMG, OMG OMG"

another character comes on screen : "OMG, OMG, OMG"

character looks at a fuking room "OMGGGGGGGGGGG"!

they were even fecking dancing, i kid you not, DANCING in their seats during the fight scenes (when they eventually happend) . every reveal was greeted with either a "OMG!" or a "Awwww" .and as a result they took me out of the film completly.

as others on thread have said its definetly geared towards the twilight crowd , but it leans more towards the buffy side of things.

seeing as the male cast spends half their time with their shirts off im assuming its not aimed at a 40yr old blokes like me so maybe im being a bit too hard on it but its just a bit "meh" IMO more than anything else. but i reckon the 16yr old girls will cream themselves at this as theres alot of "pretty boys" on display.

the girl is nice eye candy though and the female cast all look like their related in one way or another to kate beckinsale.

    kinda like a tweeny underworld.

so lads wont be completley bereft. but its more stylish thany anything else which means it comes off a bit flat.

    if your a bloke

    2/10

    teenage girl

8/10 (as its pretty much alot of their wet dreams made manifest)

on the plus side its nice to see jared harris on the screen again. he's wasted in this but ive liked the bloke as an actor since sherlock holmes.
