Haven't heard anything from them for a long time now.

Only the media circus with Assange.

    Are they still releasing info?

From what I heard ( and this lad knows quite alot form his vantage point in at the bar in the pub ) they are the currently busy working on their PR and sponsoring this years The Gathering Ireland.

They hope to go global with it next year.

Esp when they're mostly reporting on lesser crimes like mass rape, torture, killing of unarmed civilians and targeted assassinations of civil rights activists.

They're just about to upend Zimbabwe's corrupt establishment, apparently.
Of course you don't hear too much about it because it's only important if it affects a Western government

Or a framed, witch-hunted innocent man.

    Seeing as we're generalising here...

Not accused of any rape, not charged of rape, not convicted of rape. Wanted by police for questions about a rape of a woman who didn't make any accusations against him.

Also to add; Has agreed to answer questions via video call, police have refused.

All the Swedes have to do is pledge not to extradite him to the US if he is acquitted on any rape charges. They have consistently refused to do so whilst alleging they have no alterior motives. Doesn't compute.

he hasn't been charged, because the Swedish police can only charge him in person. A bit difficult when he is hiding in an embassy.

And they have refused this becuase they (the swedish government) believe in judicial independence and believe that telling the courts what they can and cannot do is wrong. And that is commendable.

Only someone living in Assange's fantasy universe believes this is all a plot by the Swedes to extradite him to the US. The reality that it's easier for him to be extradited from Britain is conveniently ignored.

Ironically he has in effect imprisoned himself in the embassy. Long may it continue.

Believe the whole thing comes down to consensual sex but without condoms and both women being friends.

As far as I know they made a few ripples but never revealed anything of real significance.

I never said it was a plot, but it remains a possibility. Assange himself has stated that if the Swedes rule out that possibility, he will go.

Well for what it's worth they change my political views permanently. I voted for Eamonn Gilmore #2 in the last general election, after the cable regarding his doublespeak on Lisbon I will never vote for Labour again.

Politics would be a lot more honest if politicians lived in constant fear of their lies being exposed as Gilmore's were, and that's why I support Wikileaks.

You'll do well to find a politician that doesn't tell lies also wikileaks will make it harder in future to discover secrets as they will be better hidden or not written down.

Maybe in a culture where there is the constant and overbearing threat of being exposed, they'll be forced not to take the risk. That's the dream anyway...
