    Hi all,

The GF's car had an issue with the wheel bearing - She got both her brothers (one decent with cars, one not) to fit a new one and all went well until the younger brother damaged the threads on the drive shaft.

Anyway, the NCT is tomorrow and after ringing around in breaker yards it looks like it'll cost €70-80 from one there or €180-210 in Renault garages. It seems the problem is she drives a Renault Clio 07 with a 16 valve which is a different size to the more common 8v which is why it is more expensive.

Does the price sound about right? Any ideas? You can imagine the hassle the day before the NCT! Looks like she will have to delay the test but will cost more money, etc.
