Drivers door wont close - Passat

    Hey folks,

    Ive got an issue with my Passat since the frost on Saturday night. I opened the drivers door yesterday and since then it wont close! To get it to stay shut I have to push the door in and lock it.

    Just wondering if anyone has come across this before and what the solution might be?

    Theres a known issue with Passat door locks.
    I got mine replaced under warranty.
    I couldnt open mine though, theres various short term fixes on the net.

    Just contacted the local VW dealer and VW Customer care to see if I can get it replaced.
    Any idea how I can get it to latch though?

    I remember finding a sloution on google and managed to fix the problem for about a week or two.
    But it came back.
    Unfortunately cant remember how it was done.
