So in the next week or two I'll be topping up on my supplements. Included will be the usual- whey, creatine, omegas etc.. but lately especially, I've seen a lot of talk about beta-alanine and was wondering what is it and is it worth adding into my supplements?

Also, just something that popped into my head earlier. While bulking, is it a good idea to use CLA powder to cut fat %?

Put on about 5kg through strenuous eating throughout the past week and half or so and am concerned that its just fat.

    Thanks in advance,

Beta Alanine is one of the active ingredients in Jack3d. Probably where people are most familiar. It can help with muscular endurance, delay fatigue, ie get an extra rep or two out.

5kg in a week and a half. I'd say most is fat tbh.

from my own xp CLA is a waste, pain as it may be your just going to have to wait and then cut the fat after your bulk.

I'd be scooby dubious as to BA's effectiveness for low rep strength/power training.

I dont think its possible to gain over a pound of muscle a week unless you're juicing so the majority of that would be fat.

Well at this weight I appear to have a better physique. Abs appear more on the ripped side then what they were a few weeks back.

Then again I have been consuming I have been eating the healthiest I ever have.
