Laptop for my Father (Budget €350-€400)

    My dad was quoted €290 for a Packard Bell netbook (Atom, 1gb ram etc).

    I told him for a small amount more he could get a laptop, so he said his budget was max €350, but i could stretch him to €380 i would say.


    So, looking around i think this is the best value for the money available

    • Screen size - 15.6 in - 1366 x 768 pixels

    • Optical Drive - DVD SM

    Could i do better spec wise somewhere else?

    His uses will be basic, e-mail, Skype and light browsing.

    I really doubt you will do any better than those specs for that sort of price.
    And considering it's only very basic needs you don't need anything better that. To me it looks like a pretty good deal!

    Don't get put off by windows 8 either! It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be
