Hi There, the pads on my Tiagra equipped KTM are, I assume, still the originals and going by their performance whilst desending last night are past their best. Anyone got any recommendations for replacements other than standard?

    Thanks Folks!

Swiss stop green for aluminium I think. 30 for front and back on bike24. Expensive but excellent.

Would be cheaper to buy a new Tiagra brakeset than replace the pads with Swisstop. Not saying there's anything wrong with either Tiagra or Swisstop, but there's much cheaper alternatives to Swisstop. I use these: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ashima-3-function-brake-pad-inserts/ during the winter and highly recommend them.

    Thanks for those options Guys.
How about simply speccing up within the Shimano range?
Is there any significant difference between the pads that are OE in Tiagra and that of 105 or Ultegra??

I assume there's a differnece between what's in the Tiagra and Ultegra pads, or at least the marketing department at Shimano would like you to think so...

My own personal experience is that I don't like Dura ace pads, found they don't work as I expected in wet conditions (and still have the scars on my arse to prove it) found Ultegra a lot better, as I said above I use the Ashimas on my winter bike, actually now that I think of it think I have them on the fair weather bike as well, find them 100% reliable, did use Swisstops a couple of years ago but found they didn't last long considering the cost.

I just put 105 pads in my tiagra brakes on Saturday. 9 euro per set and they seem to do the job fine.
