Little brother coming back from UK next month as he got offered a good job in this country, he had 3 years no claims bonus when leaving at end of 2011, he just never renewed when it expires. I think I read somewhere that he can still renew that policy with NCB as it was within 2 years? Is this the case, he was with Zurich. I know he can call them tomorrow but its a slow Sunday and he's just asked me about it I said I'd try to find out

Depends on the insurer. Most will allow a NCB to remain valid for 2 years, althought it was mentioned in another thread last night that some honor far less. Id expect 2 years to be the norm though.

I renewed mine after about 18 months and my previous no claims were accepted. I was with Zurich beforehand and renewed with them.

EDIT: This was a few years ago so things may have changed now.
