DIY Wedding Invite - HELP !!!

Hopefully some of you friendly folk out there can help.

At the moment trying to create our wedding invitation and having trouble finding embellishments !!

our idea is simple enough - a fabric/cutout of Bride and Groom (ideally headless ie. a dress and a suit - as we dont want it to look like its meant to be us on the front...just a generic couple...or if they must have heads ... both blonde - or light brown)

I did see one a few months back - but have lost the bookmark - the one I had seen was a couple holding hands....think it was an english card company.(ie. co.uk website)

Any help is gratefully appreciated ...and thanks to everyone who contributes.

eBay is definitely your best bet for this type of stuff. We made ours with cheap card from Mr Price, some nicer paper from Easons and embellishments from eBay and have been getting lots of compliments on them. (had to buy a cheap guillotine from Aldi and use the printer in my office as well but I wouldn't really class those as part of the cost cos the printing was free and we'd be able to re-sell the guillotine on adverts for what we paid for it if we wanted to).

Have you had a look upstairs in vibes and scribes on bridge street? They have some paper craft things for weddings..

Lovely idea Corkbah! I would go to the fabric shop and buy material thats on offer, maybe felt as it doesnt fray. Then make a stencil and draw out all the pieces making good use of the fabric, then get the bridesmaids and friends over to cut them all out!
