7-8 k for diesel.what car?

    Im looking to spend max 8k in a diesel.Working in Dublin,will be travelling home to limerick once a week.Looking on carzone 2nd hand cars are dear.What would you recommend for that money.I like the golfs but very dear.

    It's mostly main dealers that advertise on carzone, hence the high prices. More independent dealers and private sellers advertise on donedeal. Are you looking to buy privately or from a garage?

    If your only looking for a car to do 1 trip a week to Limerick and running around Dublin, a petrol would be ok. I find my diesel not much better for city driving over a petrol, my wife has a petrol car.

    I drive a skoda octavia myself with 115k on the clock and have had no mechanical problems so far. I get between 800-900 km,s for a full tank which costs roughly 65-70 euro to fill up.
