scania 143 1994, wont select low range sometimes, any ideas... changed the cylinder valve and changed the selector pads on the inside and its still the same, no air leaks as far as we can see... we also poured oil into the cylinder pistons and she still sticks every so often

heard of drivers having a tub of vasaline for when the shift gets tight, least thats what they claimed it was for, better than grease or oil, sorry not a trucker just worked at trailers for them.

Is it that it won't select a gear at all or it tears going into a gear?Does the tractor unit itself be turned off while in the low box?

:D Oh boyo, you're too sharp for this. I thought he would have had less bother if he uncrossed his fingers when fitting it.
