Quick NCT question

    hey guys, quick question, I have a 03 car, nct was due late november and I did it around 20th december, failed on one or two small items, retest is today, as its now a 10 year old car and wasnt in December, will I get a cert for 1 or 2 years?

    1 year only as far as i know man.

    I'd say it's two years if it was due in Nov. 2012 it's based on the date of registration.

    I'd say only for 1 year as you can do the test up to three months before the registration date.


    First test @ 4years, then 6, 8 , 10 years so an 03 reg is 10 years old so the cert can be for one year only

    an 03 car will have the test back dated to the due date 2012 and a cert for two years to 2014

    must be an import I guess other wise the due date would be in 2011 or 2013.

    yeah its an import, fingers crossed its two years, failed on front tints, E110 to get them taken off and put back on again after, nct, would prefer if I didnt have to go it again next year :D

    thanks for that, have heard of them. Might get them to reapply the tints :)

    No probs :) I got them to do my car 6 months ago and was very happy with the job - I got the lightest tint possible on the front but its still 55% (needs to be 65% for a pass) so I'll fail if the NCT test's my windows too.

    Do you know what your front windows were?
