NOMAD ENTERTAINMENT MANAGEMENT *RETURN WITH ‘JOKER’ SET AT THE *BODEGA, CORK AT THE END OF JANUARY

After the success of Nomad Ep1 ft. Digital Mystikz the Nomad Crew are back with a bang, this time around with Dubstep DJ Joker.

Nomad Event Management in conjunction with Bodega, Cork will play host later this month to UK Dubstep heavyweight Joker. The DJ will take to the decks on Thursday January 31st to treat the Cork audience to his own brand of electronic infused bass music.

The 22-year-old DJ and producer from Bristol has been making waves in dubstep and grime music since he was 16 years old when he made his first contributions to the scene, which he would later go on to help define.
Since the release of his debut record, the Kapsize EP, he’s been swept along by a wave of hype and excitement that hasn’t allowed him much chance to catch his breath.

2011 saw the release of his Debut full length "The Vision" on 4AD records, represents the sum of five years of his musical travels. The album is complimented by a number of startling vocal collaborations that demonstrate just how far his sound has come.
Contributions come from fellow rising stars including Jessie Ware on ‘The Vision (Let Me Breathe)’ and William Cartwright on ‘On My Mind’ with both songs making it on to the BBC Radio 1 playlist. *
He also found the time to round up Buggsy, Shadz, Scarz and Double (KHK-SP) to make ‘Back In The Days’, the definitive Bristol track he’s been promising to make and was
invited to perform two live sessions for the BBC at the heralded Maida Vale.

With the album behind him, Joker looks to the future and to continue to explore his own eccentric take on UK bass music, with a slew of 12” releases leading up to his sophomore LP.
