Hello,

My brother is away in Australia and myself and my mother were planning on going to Asia to meet him half way in June/July timeframe as she's a teacher and his visa is coming to a close in August so he needs to be back there before then.

I was looking at Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur but all seem to have monsoons or be piping hot. Is it just the wrong time of the year for this part of the world or do people have any ideas?

I've been using thorntree up to this over on lonely planet but it appears this is starting to be censored by bbc.

Appreciate any inputs people have.
