Im just interested if on a semi detatched house is planning needed to build up to the boundary wall ie. Knocking the section down and rebuilding so the wall ends just short of my side. I read somewhere that you do need planning and an engineer said you dont. The extension will be 25square meters . I did get info from the county council and there was nothing in it to say this needs planning . Just checking peoples experiences thanks

Its only an issue if you have windows facing the boundary.

Also if its a new(ish) house check the planning permission to ensure there are no conditions restricting the extending of the house.

Cheers muffler. Thanks for the help. It seems the woman from the council was confused and talking about the 1st floor :)
