Hardwareversand ... how do they know who I am??

So I've just ordered all my PC parts off hardwareversand.de and paid by online bank transfer. Now the thing I'm worried about is how do they know the transfer from my bank account is related to my order on their website? Is it to do with the "Intended Purpose" code they give you? I included that code under the "message on payee statement" when I was doing the transfer but I could've just as easily left it out.

Can someone please set my mind at ease and tell me that's all I needed to to because at the moment I'm thinking that they just received a payment of several hundred euros and don't know what to do with it. Thanks.

When I ordered from them I didn't give any information strangely enough the goods arrived.. The name on the account will.l correspond with the name on the order as far as I know.

It may be kind of a guessing game as they know the money has come from and irish bank so maybe they check to see which irish order corresponds to that specific amount?

The Intended Purpose field is what's supposed to be used, so you've done things right.

Further to that, I'm fairly sure common sense would come into play had you left it out. They'd check the name on the account, as well as the amount (this alone should really be enough to match up) so you'll be fine.

Thanks guys. I got an email today at 12pm saying they got my payment and another one at 7pm saying my stuff has been shipped out. Very impressive!
