    Hi,

My current PC, a Dell, is 8 years old, it's being a great servant but over the last while its starting to get very slow and its freezing a lot its so time to upgrade. I don't really know a lot about this sort of stuff so was hoping for some advice!

I was thinking about buying the following from Dell, a Vostro Desktop 270 for €519.00 (Ex VAT & Shipping) and also a external hard-drive to transfer over some files, pictures, emails, etc. from the current tower.
    http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?oc=sbds709&model_id=vostro-270s&c=ie&l=en&s=bsd&cs=iebsdt1

I wouldn't be using it for anything high-spec, mostly Microsoft Office, internet, etc. The main thing is that it's reliable as I work from home.
I'm currently transferring some old videos into Blue-ray so I'd like to be able to play the videos on the computer and make copies of them to give to friends, will this computer be able to do this?

    Any advice/suggestions would be great.
    Thanks
