If in wrong section please move!

How do i transfer a site (site is a gift) with planning (planning is in my name) from my fathers name to my name?

Is it as simple as getting a draughtmans/or similar to mark the site out on a map and then take it to my solicitor?

Well bollox to that! Should have transferred it before the application.

So I gather it will cost.....

    500 reg fees
    800 stamp (approx 40,000 at 2%)
    200-300 (solicitor fee)

That a fair guess at what to budget to shell out next month?

I was gifted a site and built a house on it and i did not have to pay any stamp duty.

How you get away with that?

Solicitor never mentioned anything about stamp duty

Budget 2011 abolished this exemption, known as site to child exemption, with effect from 8 December 2010.
