Don't think there is even a climbing wall in Athlone?

I know a few people who travel to Galway to use the one in NUIG, they joined NUIG's climbing and mountaineering soc and get a discount on the wall at certain times of the week.

Good news and bad news. There is a class climbing wall in Athlone, but it's in the Army barracks gym and I doubt you will even see it never mind climb it:o

I would also be interested in this. Maybe ring the army barracks to organize a class. I went to army boot camp in near the buckanners before. Those guys were interested in money so maybe the army barracks might want to bring in some money.
