Are hospital board minutes, public information?

I am just curious about something.

The likes of The Mater, The Coombe, UCG hospital etc etc.

I would be interested in reading the minutes of their board meetings. I went on to one hospital website and found the links, but all but one came back a 404 file, not found.

Is this public information that could be requested under FOI act or similar?

Nope, not public and Hospitals aren't subject to FOI.

Presumably some of the information included in hospital minutes is provided to the Dept of Health and HSE which are FOI-able, though.

Possibly, but third party information would mean the hospital would have to be consulted if the material was to be released and it's likely that the hospital would oppose this on some of the applicable grounds in the law.
