Student meet up-take 2 Friday January 25th! - everyone welcome

Planning on organizing a second meet up in late January, the week starting the 21st.

I think everyone agrees that the last one was a great success and should be continued.

As discussed at length in the previous forum, we can't exclude anyone from coming. It's fair to say that the majority of the people interested are students in the 19-24 age bracket. This is just a guideline to anyone thinking of coming along.

And girls are welcome, obviously.

A poll is up asking people to vote on a day that suits. Monday 21st january to Sunday 27th. Everyone should be back in college by then

Personally I think messers will do as a venue, if anyone has another spot in mind, post it up.

And any new people reading this for the first time, feel free to join in

What I don't get is why is the age bracket starting at 19? Surely everything along these sort of lines beings at 18. Just seemed stupid to me.

The first post (which I copied right above this text) says MOST will be in the 19-24 age bracket and it also says its only a guideline.

Ah not complaining and I know I could come along, just was wondering of all things what an odd age to start up considering everything is 18 and up everywhere.


That and I was coming down with something, couldn't sleep and wanted a strong drink so I was a bit annoyed at everything at the time :pac:

Going on my experience at the last one, we have a few princesses among the princes! :P

Really excited about this! Actually messaged Messrs about reserving an area/few tables but nothing back. They don't seem to have a website so had to resort to FB!

Messrs was perfect for the last one but we were lucky to get a table. Maybe this time we could start the craic a wee bit earlier!

I'd love to go to this one except unfortunately I have an exam on the 26th and somehow I don't think heading out the night before would be great revision . I'm not going to this- alas I am far too old for such shenanigans (plus my gf has already booked us into a spa for the weekend as its her birthday :cool:) but just wanted to say fair play to ye for getting this up and running and keepin it going. It's usually been a bit stop start with meeetups from here, so this is great.

St. Oliver John Gogartys in Temple Bar is a great hostel, think its like €16/night. Clean, friendly etc. plus you get a free pint in their pub.
