Am planning to purchase a Kobo Glo in the US this week (to use in Ireland). Before I do, are there any issues here? I assume that any locale settings that determine availability and price of books from the kobo site are based on my initial account details as opposed to anything to do with the hardware?

The kobo is brilliant I have one and its far better than my wife's kindle. Just keep in mind that there is a card slot for the kobo and it gives great scope to load much more content than a kindle. Do not see a problem purchasing in the States just check the charger is capable of 220 volts
