Windows installation error :/

Having trouble installing Windows after installing a new motherboard/CPU. It has an error at expanding files. It stays 0% and eventually get ""Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070570".

I formatted my SSD (this took maybe a min, which surprised me?). Still didn't work. Online a lot of people cited memory issues; I haven't run memtests, but I've tried i with my working RAM (used it last night) and the new RAM, same problem.

My disk could be scratched... Would borrowing another's disk, burning it, then using my product key work? Or burning my own disk?

What version of Windows is it? If it is Windows 7 you can re-download it and burn to a DVD here

don't forget to scroll to the bottom of that article and follow "Option 2" using the microsoft USB/DVD download tool, it's a lot simpler than the other oprion.

I can't find the original packaging where the model no. was on it, and I can't seem to find it online, it's unbranded or something? Help would be much appreciated as always. This question sounds embarrassingly stupid

That adapter seems to use a RTL8191SU chipset, so I imagine that the drivers for it from Realtek's site will work fine. That is provided you have a way of downloading them

Thanks anyway And yes I had a laptop on hand. Never thought I'd have a chance to justify 50megabit Internet, but it's becoming very handy downloading from Steam and updating so many drivers and Windows and redownloading programmes

I actually don't have enough space to download half of what I bought. I've about 130gb free across 4 drives, and 61 uninstalled games :eek:

Ya definitely use another disk I've had this problem and a duplicate disk from a friend fixed it.
