OH has problem with Natural Selection

There at the weekend the OH sent me off to do the grocery shopping in a well renowned shop while she used her new vacuum cleaner.
I got everything on the list only and was delighted with the short time I had everything bought and got home in time for the live FA cup match on telly when the OH started giving out to me about all the fruit and veg being organic.
It seems that I never looked at which section I choose the fruit and veg and naturally selected the organic stuff.
I tried to explain this but she is having none of it and thinks I am a moron.
Have you ever naturally selected something and what’s the problem when doing so?

A hover is a brand name much akin to calling all cars Toyotas just because there the brand leader.

With a thread title like that OP you could write for the daily mail. I was expecting less organics, more eugenics and a thread debating evolution, not some stupid domestic about grocery shopping!

I don't know what (a tracker mortgage) natural selection is, unless it's some form of Darwinism.

    It's hoover - a hover is a floating motion.

And you're trolling - such a lame & obvious "title swerve" - can't believe people fell for it.

a computer programmer was going out to the shop and he asked the OH did she need anything. She said, yes, get a litre of milk and if they have eggs, get six.

half an hour later he arrived home with six litres of milk. The wife asked him where was he going with all the milk, he replied 'they had eggs'

What in the name of JAYSUS is the difference between an organic apple and a... regular apple?
I would have thought that since the word "organic" essentially means living tissue, all fruit is "organic".
    Someone enlighten me?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 81,220 ✭✭✭✭biko

Organic means no pesticide or other chemicals sprayed on something you ingest.

OP, for a couple of days every month, everything you do will be wrong. Just say "yes dear" and get on with it, the worst thing you can do is argue, you can't win. Even if you think you win the argument, you haven't ;)

By the sound of it, the vegetables weren't your worst "selection" mistake..
