Integrated carbon bars

Obviously you're not going to be able to change your stem length or rotate the bars, and attaching accessories (e.g. lights) is going to be difficult.

For those reasons I don't think they're a great design.

On the other hand, if you are only going to use them in daylight and are happy with the stem length and orientation of the bars, then this design removes one possible point of failure.

    How much do they weigh?

These come in at around 365g..

They certainly look the biz and are very cheap (US$100) but I am concerned about their durability and the the points you made above....

Not bad I suppose. Ordinary alloy bars and stem are about 400g, and although weight weenie stuff (e.g. Zipp SL and KCNC stem) comes in around 300g, those are very expensive.

    On the other hand...

Planet X Nanolight Ergo Drop Carbon Handlebar
    €97.91, 230g

Planet X Superlight Team 3D Forged Stem
    €13.05, 139g

So that's 369g (claimed!) for €110, and none of the compromises.

I know there's the razor 'strong, light, cheap - pick two' but despite being cheap and heavy I'd also have questions about durability/strength.

Would you consider going with the similar Ness branded bars being sold by PX instead? They're probably made in the same factory (heck, they're probably the same bars) but if they were to have issues you'd have a bit more comeback?

I never considered PX... looks like at lot of their bars are out of stock but it'd be worth contacting them..
    Thanks Che...!
