Looking for a new road bike frame size 46-48cm I’m having trouble finding shops that will stock the smaller bikes.

Cycle Superstore have a 46cm Lapierre Audacio 200 in stock I’m assuming the fit would be the same as the Sensium 200? Don’t know anything about the brand though.

I’ll be making a trip to Dub in the coming weeks so if anyone knows anywhere else that may have smaller bikes in stock I’d try them too.

    How short are you?
From my experience, I am 5'0, shops have had to order all my bikes in.

The last road bike took a week after ordering it to arrive to the shop (size 44) (Hollingsworth in Stillorgan when I got it at the time, just a year ago).
Maybe the biggest bike shops like Cycle Superstore or the new Giant shop on the Naas road might small ones in stock.

If the internet is an option for you, Wiggle are doing some good deals on smaller framed bikes at the moment e.g this 47cm carbon moser ultegra for under €1300.

I like to round up so I’m 5’2. Would rather test before I buy seems to be what people recommend plus last bike I bought is too big for me, so reluctant to have to buy without testing.

Using BTW so Wiggle is out. Cycle Superstore looking like best option at the mo.

You could try ringing up in advance to see what they have. Also, if you go to any of the big bike shops in Dublin at the weekend it can take ages to get served, so if possible try to go on a week day.

Wheelworx last week had a nice XS carbon Dolan built up and for sale. Seemed like a great deal to me. 1000 euro iirc.

Just a warning, I'm five three and I took a 52cm. It was too big. I know that different people have different leg/torso measurements and all that, but don't take it unless it feels good. If I had taken a 48 or 50, I think I would have been much happier. At the time, I didn't know what to look for. Too short a stem and the bike gets twitchy. You space out for a second and you're in the woods. Better to get a small bike and a longer stem.

So finally got sorted and collected my new bike today. Lapierre Sensium 200 from Marrey Bikes, Ballinrobe, they had great frame selection in stock 44cm and 48cm in ladies, hadn’t been able to find anyone else stocking the smaller sizes.

Turned out I needed a 44cm which they had in stock in a cheaper model so I got to test it out and was much happier ordering once I’d had a test spin in the frame size I was going to need. Guys were great to deal with and very knowledgeable.

Looking forward to getting out for a spin
