    Hi guys,

Looking to lose some weight and im wondering how many meals should i eat a day??
    im 24
    6ft 1
15 stone (down from 15.5 stone xmas day)

    Typical diet at the moment

Bowl of cereal for breakfast (sometimes ill skip this if im running late)
    Lunch: Fruit
Dinner. Potatoes, veg, chicken, All steamed
Snacks: i usually eat a cream cracker or two to curb hunger or ill have 2 slices of brown toast.

Exercise: over xmas exercise has been a walk each night, 2 miles. Now that im back to work im planning on calling to the gym on way home each night.
usually do a 20k cycle in the gym, then 20 minutes of various exercises (concentrate on chest and shoulder muscles a lot . chest to get rid of the moobs and shoulders because its never being strong since an old sports injury)

Should i cut bread out of my diet completely to help me lose weight??

Ideally id like to go from current 34 waist to a 32 (and lose the flab above)

Agree with above - find out what your daily calorie intake should be (according to what weight you want to lose) and stick to it. This might mean three small meals and a snack or two large meals etc.
Sounds like you have a great system going though, well done!

If you can go without it then do.

    It provides very little nutrient-wise.

Breakfast-cereal is sugary crap sprinkled with a multi vitamin.
Lunch-You really should have a proper lunch rather than just fruit, get some form of protein into you, veg and some fats like olive oil or real butter
Dinner- There's more meat than chicken and more ways to cook food rather than steaming it. Just don't go overboard on the potatoes and don't worry about putting real butter on, it's good for you.
Snack-Try and cut out wheat as it can stimulate hunger. If you eat a better lunch you probably won't be hungry later on.

As for exercise, and I'm no expert on it but it's best to stick to compound movements rather than concentrating on chest and shoulders. You can't spot reduce so no amount of chest exercises will get rid of moobs, it will be reduced by diet. Also if your shoulders are a weak due to injury it might be best to work of mobility rather than strength for now. You don't want to be giving yourself another injury.

There's no reason not to fry, as long as you choose good oils to do it in, coconut oil being best.

Also getting a gym instructor to show you things can be hit and miss, some of them don't have a clue.

How long is your commute? Could you cycle to and from work? I suggest this to everyone cos I HATE doing cardio at the gym! :) It would mean you could concentrate on other stuff in the gym, and maybe even cut down on your time spent there!

Pick a number of meals that suits your lifestyle & break up your kcal requirement accordingly.

I usually go for 4 meals on non training days with 5 on training days.
