Apologies if this appears to be a stupid question...

Life gets in way and you miss a training session. Depending on what day it is you could be out of the gym for 48 hours depending on your rest days.

    Do you

    a) eat normal training day calories despite missing the session
    b) eat non training day calories
    c) eat maintenance calories
    d) cry yourself into a family bucket in KFC.
    e) something else?

I know in the big picture it probably won't make a difference.
But the odd time it happens I find myself at a loss. Or at kfc.

I'd do B and eat non training day cals but I'd make up for the session I missed and go the following morning.

Edit: it also depends on your goal, if your trying to lean bulk or not.

What's the difference between the calories on these days?
    Why is there a difference?

    Poor wording on my behalf.
Calories would be similar. Higher fat/lower carb on non training days.
