    Hi All,

After 5-6000 kms of happy on my bontrager hardcases I've gotten a couple of flats. Think its time to change them? Which tyre would you go for?

    Cheapskate.

I use a Dugast Pista Silk Latex on the front and an FMB Competition CX on the back.

Very happy with Durano plus as a robust road bike tyre, but not on list.

I've over 6k on Vitoria rub into pro's. never had a puncture and use them regularly on rough surfaces. Highly recommended.

Panaracer for the future! Love em. Have gp 4000 on now and can feel the slippiness in them. Panaracer are super grippy but fast also.

I have a pair of 28x 700cc Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyre's and i cant fault them. Not punctures bar a pinched tube that was my own fault

You should add them to your poll

I'm using GP 4 Seasons 23s since December, got them because of the bad weather & am very happy with them. I used the stock tires that came with my bike (Vittorio Zaffiro 23s) for a couple of thousand kms & only ever had one puncture which was from under-inflating. They were a bit slippy in the wet though & I came off the bike turning left on a small roundabout in the rain once.

The GP 4 Seasons have a definite difference in grip & I'm positive they feel faster, even though I run them @ 120 psi as opposed to 140 psi on the Vittorios.

Marathon Plus on the back, Gatorskins on the front. Conti Ultras are good on the front too but they don't last.

In my opinion, you have to have a tyre with a rigid sidewall on the back, or you're going to get punctures... I know the ride's much nicer without them, but I'd prefer a harsher ride and no punctures to the opposite!

Panaracers do it for me, agree a harsh ride but beats punctures, also used conti sport contacts which are good as well

I use 4000S as well and find them very good overall and long lasting.

I use GP4000s on my "weekend" bike, they're deadly.

Think I'm going to go for a set of Panaracer Ribmos on the commuter. Richies are selling them at a decent price, they'll wrastle em onto the Rims too :)

I've had bontrager racelite hardcases on the bike for a couple of years, really good puncture resistant tyre at a reasonable price.

And they are also very good to commute on. No need for a different tyre.

    Durano plus Londons.

Cheaper than the folding Durano plus tyres and a bit thicker but have that god awful logo on the walls.
